There's nothing more sweet, squishy, and lovable than a newborn. If I could hold a newborn in my arms every single day I would be one happy momma! But, oh, they grow so fast! These days are extra special and I'm here to create images that will help you remember this special time forever. 

 

There is a little bit more preparation, time, and energy that go into newborn sessions. Because your new little one is in charge we need to allow an abundant amount of time for our session. So newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. This gives us the opportunity to work at baby's pace and allow for feedings, cuddles, changing, and set changes. In order to to capture those sweet, sleepy newborn images I recommend that baby is between 4 and 14 days young. It is the perfect time to document those tiny features that disappear so quickly after birth, like itsy-bitsy toes, baby belly buttons, and chubby, wrinkly skin. However, I will photograph a newborn at any age, this is just the best recommended time. I can certainly make exceptions, so let’s talk if your circumstances don’t allow you to meet these preferences. In this time period babies are extra sleepy and more easily posed in those sweet poses we all love. I will consider your session a newborn session up to 55 days new.
